The academic year at Wrocław University of Technology consists of two semesters, 15 weeks each. The winter semester starts on the 1st of October and the summer semester starts in the second half of February. After the exam session in June, you will have three months of holidays!

 

ACADEMIC YEAR 2011/2012
WINTER SEMESTER

Classes start on 26 September 2011 with an odd week, they last 15 weeks – 8 odd weeks and 7 even weeks – until 20 January 2012.
Classes for the students of the 7th semester, Bachelor studies, last 10 weeks until 7 December 2011.
Christmas break lasts from 23 December 2011 to 1 January 2012.
Exam session lasts 13 working days from 23 January 2012 to 8 February 2012 including Saturdays (21.01, 28.01 and 4.02.2012).
Exam session for the students of the 7th semester, Bachelor studies, lasts 13 working days from 8 December 2011 to 3 January 2012, including 2 Saturdays (10.12 and 17.12.2011)
Semester break lasts 4 days from 9 February 2012 to 12 February 2012.

Please note that there are some changes:

8.11.2011 (Tuesday) – even Tuesday timetable
9.11.2011 (Wednesday) – odd Friday timetable
5.01.2012 (Thursday) – odd Friday timetable

SUMMER SEMESTER

Classes start on 13 February 2012 with an odd week and last 15 weeks – 8 odd weeks and 7 even weeks - until 31 May 2012.
Easter break lasts from 6 April 2012 to 9 April 2012.
7 June 2012 – Corpus Christi
8, 12 and 16 June 2012 – match days during EURO 2012 – days off during the exam session
The 1st term of the exam session lasts 13 working days from 1June 2012 to 22 June 2012 (except from 8, 12 and 16 June 2012 ) including three Saturdays (2.06, 9.06 and 23.06 2012)
The 2nd term of the exam session lasts 13 working days and lasts from 25 June 2012 to 12 July 2012. Students living in the following dorms: T-15, T-16, T-17,
T-19 and T-22 may choose the 1st or the 2nd term of the exam session. All the other students have to take exam in the 1st term of the exam session.
